Cobalt or Tungsten?
Cobalt and Tungsten electric heaters share the same size housing, two infrared elements, 60° tilting brackets and wall or ceiling mounting, and both work with Bromic controls. Tungsten adds a mesh front that spreads heat more evenly, a little more heat area, black or white finishes and 277V wiring. Cobalt costs about 40% less.

Frequently asked questions
What size heater do I need?
Multiply your space's length by its width and compare it with each heater's heat area: about 120 sq ft for the 4000W and 144 sq ft for the 6000W. Larger or windier spaces may need two heaters. Send us your dimensions and we'll help.
What's the difference between Cobalt and Tungsten?
Both deliver Bromic infrared heat in the same size housing. Tungsten adds a mesh front screen that spreads heat more evenly, slightly larger heat areas, black or white finishes, 277V wiring and more sizes. Cobalt has a simpler front cage, a silver finish and costs about 40% less.
Do Cobalt heaters need an electrician?
Yes. Cobalt heaters run on 220–240V or 208V power rather than a standard 120V outlet, so installation by a licensed electrician is recommended.
Can I control a Cobalt heater with a remote?
Yes. Cobalt works with an on/off remote or a dimmer remote, and can be integrated into a smart control system. See Bromic accessories.
Not sure which heater fits?
Send us your space's dimensions and whether it's covered or open. We'll recommend Cobalt, Tungsten or Platinum and the right controls.
