Both models need 220–240V power rather than a standard 120V outlet. Plan the power supply with a licensed electrician.

Frequently asked questions

Can I plug Eclipse into a regular outlet?

No. Eclipse heaters need 220–240V power, while a standard wall outlet supplies 120V. A licensed electrician can provide the right power supply for the pendant or portable.

Which pole do I need for the pendant?

The Eclipse Pendant includes a 24-inch twin pole. Other straight and twin poles (such as 8-inch and 48-inch) let you set the heater height for your ceiling. Many Bromic electric heaters list a minimum height of 96 inches from the ground; check the product specifications. Poles are in this collection and in our Bromic accessories.

How do I control the heat and light?

Use the Eclipse Dimmer Controller to adjust heat (0/33/66/100%) and the LED light. The Eclipse Portable includes this controller.

What size heater do I need?

Multiply your space's length by its width and compare that with each heater's heat area in the sizing guide. For example, a 12 × 12 ft patio is 144 sq ft: one heater rated for about 145 sq ft or more, or two smaller heaters for more even warmth. Wind, mounting height and temperature all affect comfort, so larger or breezy spaces usually need more than one heater.
