What is marine grade polymer?
Marine Grade Polymer (MGP) is a solid polymer engineered for the toughest outdoor environments. It won't absorb water, won't rack, rot or separate, and its color runs all the way through the material.
Is MGP good near the ocean or a pool?
Yes. MGP is completely impervious to water and won't absorb fresh or salt water, so it performs in coastal and marine settings and around pools. Telescope's Dune Hydro-Lounge chaise is even designed for shallow in-pool placement.
How is MGP different from regular resin furniture?
Unlike traditional extruded resin, MGP does not rack, rot or separate, and its smooth, refined surface has a cleaner finished look than extruded boards.
Will it fade or chip?
MGP's solid color runs all the way through, which helps it resist chips, fading and surface wear so it looks new year after year.
How do I clean MGP furniture?
MGP's smooth surface naturally resists moisture and helps prevent mold and mildew. Only routine cleaning with common detergents is needed. Avoid teak oil and other products that can stain the finish, keep it away from heat sources over 180°F, and go gently with nylon scrub pads.
What warranty comes with MGP furniture?
Telescope Casual MGP furniture is backed by a 15-year residential warranty (3 years for commercial use).
How long does delivery take?
Telescope Casual MGP furniture is made to order in Granville, New York, in the colors you choose. Build time is typically 3 to 5 weeks, and we'll keep you updated from your order through delivery.
