Tungsten or Platinum?
Both are Bromic Smart-Heat radiant heaters: they warm people rather than the air, tilt 60° on the included brackets, mount on a wall or ceiling or recess into one, and work with Bromic dimmer and smart controls. The difference is the look, the clearance you need and the price.

Targeted warmth for your seating area
Tungsten puts the heat where people sit instead of warming the whole space.
Mesh front cage
A sleek mesh front helps distribute heat evenly and gives Tungsten its distinctive look.
Double infrared elements
Electric models use double frosted infrared tube elements for efficient, even warmth.
60-degree aim
Included brackets tilt 60 degrees top to bottom so you can direct heat onto your seating.
Wall, ceiling or recessed
Tungsten electric heaters mount on a wall, on a ceiling or recessed into the ceiling.
Gas that stays lit
Tungsten gas heaters have one-touch electronic ignition and are rated to stay lit in winds up to 8 mph.
Smart control ready
Electric models work with on/off or dimmer remotes, and gas models can pair with Bromic Affinity controllers.
Frequently asked questions
What size heater do I need?
Multiply your space's length by its width and compare that with each heater's heat area in the sizing guide. For example, a 12 × 12 ft patio is 144 sq ft: one heater rated for about 145 sq ft or more, or two smaller heaters for more even warmth. Wind, mounting height and temperature all affect comfort, so larger or breezy spaces usually need more than one heater.
What colors does Tungsten come in?
Tungsten electric heaters come in black, with the 4000W and 6000W models also available in white. Tungsten gas heaters have a black finish.
Do electric Bromic heaters need an electrician?
Yes. Bromic electric heaters run on 220–240V power rather than a standard 120V outlet, so we recommend installation by a licensed electrician.
How high should the heater be mounted?
Many Bromic electric models list a minimum height of 96 inches from the ground for ceiling mounting and 72 inches for wall mounting. Clearances vary by model, so check the specifications on each product page before you install.
Can I reduce the clearance needed above a gas heater?
Yes. Pair Tungsten gas heaters with the Bromic heat deflector accessory to reduce the required overhead clearance. Find it in our Bromic accessories.
Is shipping free, and do you price match?
Shipping is free on every order, with no minimum, and we offer a price match guarantee as an authorized Bromic retailer.
Not sure which Tungsten model fits?
