The 14 frame finishes
Monterra frames come in: Agave, Carbon Black, Copper Creek, Espresso, Graphite, Rosewood, Sable, Sand Dollar, Sandalwood, Shadow Grey, Sienna, Truffle, Twilight and Velvet White. A few ways to narrow it down:
- Light frames like Velvet White and Sand Dollar feel airy and coastal, and make soft or striped fabrics look fresh.
- Warm, earthy frames like Copper Creek, Rosewood and Espresso play up Monterra's Old World scrollwork and suit stone, brick and Spanish-style homes.
- Dark frames like Carbon Black and Graphite are the most versatile backdrop, and let bold patterns take center stage.

Fabric grades, explained
OW Lee groups its fabrics into grades. Higher grades are more complex weaves and patterns, not better at handling the weather; every fabric is made for outdoor use. Here is what the grades add to a Monterra swivel rocker (larger pieces have larger upcharges):

Of the nine looks above, Play Adobe is Grade AA, Trax Burgundy and Optimist Clay are Grade A, and Juniper Mesa Indigo and Recess Smoke are Grade C. You can see the grade beside every fabric when you choose it on a product page.
Tips for pairing finish and fabric
- Mix, don't match, on a set. Our Monterra lounge sets have separate fabric choices for the sofa, the swivel rockers and the ottoman, so you can do solid sofa cushions with patterned rockers.
- Textured solids are forgiving. Heathered and woven solids like Tailored Smoke hide everyday wear better than flat solids.
- Think about the sun. Mid-tones hold up visually better in full sun and show less dust than very dark or very light fabrics.
- Repeat a color. Pull one color from a patterned fabric into your pillows or umbrella, and the whole space feels designed.
