Find your Bromic heater in 3 taps
Three quick questions to match you with the right mounted heater, and how many you need.
1. Where will it go?
2. How do you want to power it?
3. About how big is the space?
Heat areas are Bromic's published figures. Wind, ceiling height and how enclosed the space is all change real-world comfort, so for breezy or very large spaces plan on an extra heater.

Heat areas are Bromic's published figures. Real-world comfort depends on wind, mounting height, enclosure and outdoor temperature. Not sure? Send us your dimensions and we'll recommend a setup.
Tungsten or Platinum?
Both are Bromic Smart-Heat radiant heaters: they warm people rather than the air, tilt 60° on the included brackets, mount on a wall or ceiling or recess into one, and work with Bromic dimmer and smart controls. The difference is the look, the clearance you need and the price.
More heat for the moneyTungsten
- Stainless steel with a black mesh front that spreads heat evenly
- Electric from 2,000 to 6,000 W, heating up to 160 sq ft
- The lower price per watt of the two
- 4000W and 6000W come in black or white
- Gas version puts out up to 43,000 BTU
Slimmest, most refinedPlatinum
- Black glass front hides the elements and cuts glare
- Only 7 in. deep and 10 in. wide (Tungsten: 8.5 x 13 in.)
- Needs just 8 in. to the ceiling vs 13 in. for Tungsten, ideal for low or tight spaces
- IPX5 weather rated, plus a 316 stainless Marine version
- Gas version stays lit in winds up to 13 mph (Tungsten gas: 8 mph)
Heat exactly where you need it
A mounted heater stays out of the way and aims its warmth at your seating area.
Radiant infrared heat
Bromic heaters warm people and surfaces directly, like sunlight, rather than trying to heat the air around them.
Aim the heat
Electric models include brackets that tilt 60 degrees top to bottom, so you can direct warmth onto your seating.
Three ways to mount
Platinum and Tungsten electric heaters mount on a wall, on a ceiling or recessed flush into the ceiling. Cobalt mounts on a wall or ceiling.
Electric or gas
Electric heaters run on 220–240V power with no flame or fuel. Gas models use natural gas or propane with one-touch electronic ignition.
Built for the wind
Bromic's Platinum gas heaters are rated to stay lit in winds up to 13 mph, and Tungsten gas up to 8 mph.
Smart control ready
Electric heaters work with on/off or dimmer remotes and smart control systems.
Frequently asked questions
What size heater do I need?
Multiply your space's length by its width and compare that with each heater's heat area in the sizing guide. For example, a 12 × 12 ft patio is 144 sq ft: one heater rated for about 145 sq ft or more, or two smaller heaters for more even warmth. Wind, mounting height and temperature all affect comfort, so larger or breezy spaces usually need more than one heater.
Do electric Bromic heaters need an electrician?
Yes. Bromic electric heaters run on 220–240V power rather than a standard 120V outlet, so we recommend installation by a licensed electrician.
How high should the heater be mounted?
Many Bromic electric models list a minimum height of 96 inches from the ground for ceiling mounting and 72 inches for wall mounting. Clearances vary by model, so check the specifications on each product page before you install.
Can I recess a heater into my ceiling?
Yes. Platinum and Tungsten electric heaters can be recessed into a ceiling for a flush, built-in look. Recess kits are sold separately in our Bromic accessories.
Should I choose electric or gas?
Electric heaters are clean, quiet and suit most covered patios, pergolas and porches. Gas heaters put out more heat per unit and suit larger, more open spaces.
Can I control the heat level?
Yes. Bromic electric heaters are smart-control compatible and work with on/off or dimmer remotes, and gas heaters can pair with Bromic Affinity smart controllers. See the controllers in our Bromic accessories.
Is shipping free, and do you price match?
Shipping is free on every order, with no minimum, and we offer a price match guarantee as an authorized Bromic retailer.
