Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between occasional, chat, dining and counter height?

Occasional-height fire pits are about 19" tall, like a coffee table, for deep sofas and sectionals. Chat height is about 24" and lines up with lounge chairs and swivel rockers. The Elba also comes in dining height (about 29") for dining chairs and counter height (about 38") for counter stools.

Do OW Lee fire pits run on propane or natural gas?

OW Lee gas fire pits ship propane-ready and convert to natural gas with an optional conversion kit. Low occasional-height pits are too short for a standard upright tank, so plan on an OW Lee specialty propane tank or a natural gas line.

Which fire pits have tile tops and which have Dekton?

Santorini, Capri, Elba, Anello and the Compass surround use OW Lee porcelain tile tops in Standard, Upgraded and Premium tiers. Phoenix, Volante, Nova and Moda use ultra-compact Dekton tops in Soke or Trilium. Haven, Forma and Basso are all metal.

Can I get push-button ignition?

Yes. Every OW Lee gas fire pit offers manual match-light ignition or electronic push-button ignition, chosen on the product page.

How long does a made-to-order fire pit take?

OW Lee builds each fire pit to order in Comfort, Texas, usually shipping in 4 to 6 weeks. Quick Ship Elba fire pits in select finish and top combinations ship in 5 to 10 business days.

Do I need fire media?

Fire glass, lava granules and lava stones are optional and cover the burner. Each product page prices them by the number of kits that burner needs.

Is there a wood-burning option?

Yes. The Compass is a 54" round surround with a porcelain tile top, built to hold a Breeo X24 smokeless wood fire pit in Corten or stainless steel. The Breeo is sold separately.
