Over a century of building it better

Telescope pioneered outdoor sling furniture and still builds every piece in upstate New York, with materials chosen to last outdoors year after year.

Made in America since 1903

Handmade in Granville, New York, where Telescope has built outdoor furniture since 1921. Still family-owned, now in its fourth and fifth generations.

Marine Grade Polymer

MGP collections like St. Catherine, Wexler and Dune won't rot, crack or absorb water, making them a natural fit for pools and coastlines.

Powder-coated aluminum

Rust-proof aluminum frames with durable powder-coat finishes stand up to sun, rain and salt air.

Sling, cushion or strap

Quick-drying sling, deep-seat cushion and classic strap seating, so you can match the comfort to how you use the space.

Swivels, rockers and Hidden Motion

Many collections offer swivel rockers, gliders and Hidden Motion seats for easy, relaxed movement.

Telescope introduced the first outdoor sling furniture in 1966 and was named ICFA's 2022 Manufacturer of the Year.

Telescope Casual traces its history to 1903, when the Telescope Cot Bed & Novelty Company began manufacturing folding cots and camp stools in New York City — the "telescoping" legs that gave the company its name. The company relocated to Granville, New York in 1921, where it remains family-owned and American-made today, now in its fourth and fifth generation of leadership. Telescope pioneered the first outdoor sling furniture in 1966 and was named ICFA's 2022 Manufacturer of the Year.

With collections like Leeward, Belle Isle, and Kendall, plus an extensive range of dining, bar, and coffee tables in sling, cushioned, marine-grade polymer, and acrylic construction, Telescope Casual offers contract-grade quality for both home and commercial outdoor spaces.

Is Telescope Casual really made in the USA?

Yes. Telescope Casual has been family-owned since 1903 and builds its furniture in Granville, New York, where it has manufactured since 1921.

What's the difference between sling, cushion and strap seating?

Sling is a taut, breathable fabric seat that dries quickly and needs no cushions. Deep-seat cushion pieces add thick, lounge-style comfort. Strap seating uses durable vinyl straps for a classic look that's easy to care for.

Which collections are best near a pool or the coast?

Look at the Marine Grade Polymer (MGP) collections, such as St. Catherine, Wexler, Dune and the Leeward MGP Sling line. MGP won't rot, crack or absorb fresh or salt water.

How long does delivery take?

Most Telescope pieces are made to order in the options you choose. Build time is typically 3 to 5 weeks, and we'll keep you updated from your order through delivery.

Can I see fabric and finish colors before ordering?

Yes. We offer free fabric swatches. Contact us and tell us which collection and colors you are considering.

Is shipping free, and do you price match?

Shipping is free on every order, with no minimum, and we offer a price match guarantee as an authorized Telescope Casual dealer.
